One decade is often needed for creating a rose, but at times a trivial mutation, a stroke of luck in cultivation, is sufficient.
This is the case of ‘Rodin’ which is nothing else than the rose mutation of ‘Knock Out’, rightly marketed in 2000 as ‘Pink Knock Out’ and then rechristened in 2006 with the name of ‘Rodin’, complimentary to François-August-René Rodin (1840-1917), French painter and sculptor.
Apart the colour, it has all the characteristics and the landscaping qualities of its prestigious ascendant.
