Firstly, one has to prepare the flower of the plant which will produce the seeds.
The petals, which are of no use to us, are removed, along with the stamens, the male organs, which might cause incest.
Then, with a small brush, we delicately powder the female organ, the stigma, with the pollen collected from the plant selected for the cross-breeding. After this, the entirety is protected with a small envelope, in order to avoid accidental pollinations.
