Family : Dentaliidae

The Antalis inaequicostata is an unusual marine mollusc present in the muddy, sandy or detrital bottoms of Mediterranean and adjacent Atlantic waters. The shell, elephant tusk shaped, up to 6 cm long, has 9-14 irregular ribs alternated with other smaller ones. It can take pinkish or yellowish colours.
