Aneides aeneus Family : Plethodontidae The Green salamander (Aneides aeneus) present in eastern USA, belongs to the family Plethodontidae, the lungless salamanders that breath through the skin. It lives in wet and shaded crevasses. It measures only 8-12 cm but the males do not hesitate in defending with bites their small reign.
