Volva volva Family : Ovulidae The Volva volva is a species of tropical Indo-Pacific present from the African coasts to Australia and western Pacific. Of white colour, pink or pale violet may exceed 14 cm. The animal lives nourishing of soft corals, chiefly the so-called whip corals. The foot is clear and elongated. A showy mimetic mantle permanently covers the shell with fanciful spots on clear background that have on the centre cylindrical tentacles of the same colour.
